Hello,

I have a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and was interested in HVAC design courses, specifically CRAC. Is there some kind of online training program or some kind of other program that you know of.

I am specifically looking into design. The only experience I have is I took a basic HVAC design course in college. What do you guys recommend?

Thanks

Those are very good.

And joining ASHRAE is a good idea. the Handbook is worth the dues.

I have a lot of those courses on the book shelf, they have a student number, meaning you send in the answers and get a certificate.

My standing order is if they do not have something to do and cannot find something to keep them busy, then work on one of the courses. I give them a test after and if they pass I even give them a raise.

I make them pass at least those kind of courses first before I let them use a computer program to spit out answers

Go on to the ASHRAE website. There are tons of web-based courses, including Data Center Design.

What other resources besides ashrae, or how can you get around there cost?

Greetings Gilbert, google "uc extension, berkeley". they offer EXACTLY what you want/need for about 700 per course and offer a certificate. also, go to the pg&e website for training seminars. All are free and some are very good. anything taught by David Sellers is well worth your time. the spring schedule was just released last week. it's a process, be patient and enjoy yourself.

Hey I've got an off topic question for chicoserspecv.

What was your Major/Minor. Reason I ask is I've looked at Mech Engineering and want to know what you should take if you intend to use your Degree in the HVAC field.

BTW SE-R Spec-V? Sentra?
