I stated in here a week ago about building a new home and what would be the best in terms of cost and efficiency when considering Natural gas vs heat pump. someone recommended getting natural gas for the first floor and heat pump for second floor, would anyone else recommend this? I have about a 3500 sq. foot home and the heatpumps do have an option where when below 40 degrees the heat strips kick in and blow warmer air. I live in N. Alabama where the winter temps can stay freezing for a couple months or so. any help would be appreciated. thanks
