This should be on the wall of pride, it must take some real skills to get all those wires to fit in one box....Right?

Found this last week while doing a bid for a complete changeout (which I got)...
House 30 y/o, current owner only there 2-3 yrs, not aware...
The plug-in transformer for the alarm system is also in the attic. It's been "hard-wired" by twisting the conductors from some speaker wire through the little holes in the spades. Without tape.

Are you sure this isn't a picture of Saddams fox-hole? The wiring looks like somthing that could be used for a weapon of mass destruction!

Is that 2 seperate j-boxes or are they make shift panel boxes?
All connected to outlets? or 30 switches for one light fixture so you could turn it on from anywhere in the room without moving a foot?
What was the amp draw?
I'm just wondering how they got the wires tied together an int the boxes with the covers on .

it's easy getting that many wires in a box. the trick is getting the cover on. wonder if it's wire nuts or twisted and taped ?
