God I wish i had a camera today. I got a call from lady living in mobile home....30 minutes away out in the country..said couldnt get heat to come on. Jump in my van head out. Upon arrival i go in front door ask a few questions..turn the thermostat on..nothing as she had already told me. I go outside and go around back and there in the backyard 30 feet or so from the trailer lies an old air handler with round flex duct taped to supply side of it and ran all the way up under the trailer and hooked into the supply duct attached to trailer. Nothing hooked to return side of it just to open air. Whats worse is it had 15kw strips in it and they had ran 12 ga wire across the top of the grass to the unit. Thermostat wasnt even hooked up..it appeard they had been shutting it on and off using the breakers on the side of the unit. This was a rental and she told me the landlord had just recently come out to install this thing!!! Well i collected my 75 bux for service call and told her there wasnt anything i could do for her unless the landlord wanted me to install him a new system in the trailer. On my way home i began laughing so hard tears were running down my face....my stomach is still sore i laughed so long. Its almost worth it to go back out to take a pic of this thing.
