I just installed a condensing unit r-410. Everything was fine running good and got through inspection. Than i had to uninstall the system. Afraid the this unit will be stolen. I recovered the ref and cut it out. Can i put the ref back into the system? Brand new recovery tank that i had just pulled a vacume on . Also can I reuse the LL dryer and suction dryer I know that they have exposed to air and I just want to do the right thing? Thank Frank

The driers are garbage as soon as you used them and cut them out, as for the r410 it has to be recycled cause its no longer virgin, you cant put it into anyones equipment

doing things right would have meant pumping the system down

anytime you open a 410a system, it gets a new drier

That is the reason for this site.
For techs to learn what they don't know.

Questions like this. Are not uncommon. Mostly because many companies were reluctent to start installing them. And didn't send their techs to training courses.

He probably knows the answers for an R22 system.

Ain't no such EPA rule, law, or regulation.

EPA regs do NOT allow it to be sold to another customer.

But it may be reused in any equipment that, that owner/customer owns.

Frank, you can reuse the refrigerant in this unit. Sounds like you took proper precausions with tank.

Absolutely do not use the driers again.
Read on R-410A Always good to educate yourself as much as possible.
A suction drier should NOT be used with R-410A.
Even in the case of a severe burnout they caution to only leave a suction drier in system for I believe 12 hours of operation. Then it is to be removed, new liquid drier installed and complete purge and evacuation of system down to 500 microns. The polyolesther oil is like a sponge and absorbs moisture almost instantly.

I read somewhere that you can use SSLD just need to be rated 410 can someone enlighten me on this
