Well no wonder it didn't get permited or inspected. But at least the Plexco was removed. http://www.imagewiz.net/images/hvac/185746_Dsc00001.jpg.

thats the new design---when it rains it washes the flue pipe and the boiler sections

And if the foundation vent is not closed flue gas will go into crawl space.

That's why I told those morons where to go. In our area, the CAP jobs are basements and the outlet of the inducer would be lower yet and we get 8-10" snows some times.

In earlier posts I said they didn't pay well. But having done 2 on jobs I installed I stand corrected. 20 days isn't bad at all. Counting bricks it;s easy to see there isn't 12" + 6" for snow level to meet the requirement here. The homeowner is checking to find out who did the work. I told him to find paper work and call CAP. Then call company and ask for job to be corrected and inspected. Well maybe that will happen.:p 1 other issue is how barametric draft regulator is installed in b-vent. No tee installed for it, just hole cut through b-vent and mounted to it. Yes vent system operates under negitive pressure but that doesn't cut it. So I can see in the near future having to tell the homeowner what has to be done and that there is a chance it won't meet code do to ground clearence in the end. If this job was easy everyone would be doing it. I was there to service AC units and checking heating systems. This is what I found needed replacing on both furnaces. http://www.imagewiz.net/images/hvac/186921_Dsc00003.jpg

Ah yes, the notorious crecked Rheem inducer assembly. Sounds like one I found in Greensboro Scott. 75K horizontal in a crawl. 4" B-vent run across the crawl [total equivelant length of 50'], then switched to 6" B-vent and had a vertical rise of 14'. Needless to say, it wouldn't vent properly, so the contractor cut through the B-vent and installed a Tjernlund DJ draft inducer!
