I have had limited experience with Johnson but have the task of setting up some fancoils w UNT110's on them.Everything was going fine until i came to a controller that was a UNT110-1,all others have been UNT110-0's,although i dont think there is much difference besides power connections and how u save the controller file.
When i tried to upload it ,it would not let me.Says "Cannot find matching application number at correct revision level."So i created a new file to download to it and saved it as a UNT110-1,but when i tried to download it it gave me a"Download object was created for a UNT controller.Device identified as unknown controller."VMA code download same problem.
Is the controller failed? Was it downloaded with some different software?or am i just doing something wrong?I have M-tools.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like you have a custom application in the UNT that was not programmed with HVAC-PRO. If you hook up to the controller and click on Action/Controller Information, this will tell you if it was programmed with HVAC-PRO or not.

You will have to forgive me,as i am on another job @ the moment, but i did look at the controller information tab and all it showed was the device address and i think under device type had XM and some numbers ,cant really remember the numbers, sorry. This controller has no different i/o than any of the UNT110-0 controllers. Not sure why it would have been downloaded with a special config, but you never know. Not sure if this helps or not.If it was downloaded with something different that is not in m-tools,is there a way to overwrite the existing program in the controller?or any other option you may have ?

It sounds like you have some sort of OEM application in that controller. HVAC-PRO will not see that as a UNT. I don't know of any way to change the device ID in the controller. Might be easier to swap it out. Good luck.

Thanks Reaper, Where is the best place to get JCI parts without having to go to my local JCI office?

I go through our local supply house. They are a JCI distributer. If you don't want to go that route, try eBay. They always have tons of JCI stuff.
