March of 2010 will be the beginning of year 3 for my Infinity Furnace, however I was reading another post which is what got me to asking this question.

Does Carrier or the Installing company ever upgrade the firmware for either furnace of Controller and or has there ever been firmware upgrades with Carrier or other makes/models and are the customers notified of such upgrades or are we as customers supposed to just sit back and relax and hope were notified if and when upgrades become available for our equipment?

Dan they keep updating the Infinity controller and I think they are at rev 16 now. look at the back of your controller and see what rev you have. There is no program that I am aware of.

Dan,

I asked also this question. There is no mechanism to upgrade the software on the Infinity Controller. You are frozen at that software release forever. You would have to replace the controller if you wanted an update. The same is true for software imbedded in the furnance and condenser.

Dan don't worry about the software updates...if you ever have even the slightest glitch outta the control, you should get the latest and greatest version of the Infinity. Just hope it's still under warranty
