4 purty Janitrols all in a row, on 30+ year old Bryant evaps!

The unit 2nd from the right has been frozen up all summer the last 2 summers. Last summer, after watching it like that a few weeks, we called the store in a strip mall a block from us and told them about it. A bit later I talked to the Janihack who does the work at the mall and told him about it. Stayed frozen rest of 2002 and has been frozen since the first heat of 2003. 2 weeks ago, we noticed the far left unit frozen and it has been that way ever since, despite some rather warm weather. Amazing that store can function with 2 non-cooling units.

Bristol must make some tough compressors :D

Now, now, just look at the quality shims under the support rack!! :-(

And all the level dis-connect boxes.....
Line sets look real nice.....not!

What a joke. :-)

This strip mall is in the heart of Indiana's most affluent city, an Indy suburb. The mayor called it a blight and is itching to tear it down. The owner is one of the affluent citizens but like most, he's so tight he squeaks.

Drove by this AM, after many more days of 24/7 operation in cold weather, the suction line on the left unit looks about 4" thick!

The only thing "straight" about that setup is the power lines!

Those disconnects are cracking me up! Not two of them are in the same position.

They all have suction filters. Their not heat pumps are they?

You oughta see that suction line now, after 2 weeks of 24/7 operation in temps down to freezing. Probably 6" thick, more at the drier! You can see it for blocks glowing WHITE in the sun! Gotta be a stuck contactor. Wonder how long before they discover it. Probably when they turn on the heat and nothing blows out or maybe the furnace will defrost the coil and they'll have 10 gallons of water all around it.
