Looking for lit on the inner workings of the A9 internally equalize valve . My question is clockwise roatation of the valves ajustment stem will raise the setting at which the valve will by pass to the receiver, thus holding back ??therfore if i turned the stem all the way it will not bypass any gas??? Is this correct? Any replies are thanked in advance.

I think that turning the stem full clockwise will raise the pressure to the maximum allowed by the valve range spring, so you are correct to an extent.

So it will work just like the hold back valve? Tried looking it up could not find lit on this specific model any suggestion on finding info looked on parker and sporlan sites neither went into exstensive details

Since it regulates outlet pressure, sort of.

Cranking the stem in all the way would set the target outlet pressure to the maximum permitted by the valves range spring.

In the same way, turning the adjustment stem on an A8 (inlet pressure regulator) all the way in would set that valve at the maximum inlet pressure permitted by the valve internals.

I just read your original post. Turning the stem full COUNTER clockwise would set it to not bypass any gas. Full clockwise would effectively be full OPEN.

I believe the A9 has control from 80-220. If you set it full CCW, you get the 220, and as long as the receiver stays above 220, it will not bypass.

dont u mean turning the stem ccw full u will be set to 80 and if your reciever stays above 80 it will not bypass.
