Got a question regarding heat pumps using Geothermal, while doing some yard work this year I came across a well that happens to be about 5ft. away from the side of my house and the well is still open and is at least 50ft. deep if not deeper. So I just happen to come across a split system HP while searching Carriers site tonight and was wondering if anyone here can direct me to some reading material that gives me some guide lines on some of the requirement that need to be met for such a system for pairing with my Infinity 96 58MVC 60K furnace.

Carrier's spec sheet on their GSHPs:

No idea if these will interface with an Infinity at all.

I've used a geo unit with the Evolution system which is the same thing. You'll need the network interface module SYSTXBBNIM01 (Bryant #) so the Infinity user interface can control the geo unit. The Infinity works great as a duel fuel but the gas company finds it very disappointing when they read the meter. Are you planning on using the well for water discharge?
