Any one have any info about this manufacturer, cant find any on the web, I have a 2 door unit that is used for Ice cream storage, it is maintaining a 20 degree box, coils clean, had a bad defrost timer, replaced that, defrost termination disk is functioning, model and serial are in the truck, I'll add them later, 40 Sh at comp, sight glass full, 404a,comp new, txv new, door seals new-another company, I just have to clean up the mess, half of my fan grate is frosted, as is half of the coil cover the half furthest from the txv, I am wondering if I have a clogged distrabution tube, the work has beeen performed by my back up man and so my info is second hand, I get to go make love to this thing on Monday!!

coldstream was a company in canada. which of course went out of business. And trust me there are alot of these units still around, but finding parts is pretty skim. Thats why i love that term ( mcgavour it) make it work if it comes down to it. i've took out alot of the electronic controllers which you can't get anymore and installed mechanical componants. make it work be creative.

Coldstream was in Winnipeg but that's still 6 hours away.
There's a comedy show up here about an old guy inventing conveniance tools and appliances. The main item is duct tape called THE RED GREEN SHOW.
Just turned into another MaGivor nickname. Gonna have to RED GREEN it till we can get parts. What ever works when the ice cream is melting makes you a hero doesn't matter where you are.

You'll have to take all the coil covers out and make sure the air is moving evenly. Dirt, cellophane wrapping, bad fan etc.
Might be a split defrost heater and only half the coil defrosts. I can't remember all the coldstream ideas but those ones ring some bells.
