What would the SEER rating be for a 1986 Janitrol unit that states high efficiency on it? I don't have model numbers.

Could be anywhere from 8-10 based on the age.

Sounds about right. A few guys here have a Prestons Guide, they'll know for sure.

10 seer was the high seer in the 80's
