View Full Version : Blacks or Homo's?

President Obama just may need to choose which minorities he is going to use to keep him popular. One Black pastor certainly doesn't care for comparisons between the rights of homosexuals and the rights of Black Americans;
"There is nothing, nothing that compares between what the Afro-Americans went through and what homosexuals are going through now."

Who was it that said; "You can fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."? (I believe it is attributed to President Lincoln)

Black evangelicals tend to be strongly opposed to gay rights and same-sex marriage. They are usually very traditional in their social beliefs.

Yes, this could backfire on the Dems.

I suppose it will depend mostly on how much influence Black religious leaders still have with the Black community and if they are willing to continue to support a president who goes against their values just to promote a president who claims himself to be Black.

Maybe they think I'm a Black homo;)

Or, maybe it's because I don't believe in cowering away from what everyone else is afraid to discuss openly.

I've always liked what a Black business aquantence once told one of his Black employees who accused me of being a bigot said; "Robin is not a bigot. Robin hates everybody equally." That about sums it up:cool:

Blacks will vote for Obama anyway. Obama may lose a few votes from queers but it will be quickly replaced with votes from illegal aliens he is wanting to grant amnesty to.

Aside from the popular perverted press on the issue, homosexuals only account for a very small minority of votes as they are around 3% of the population and regarded as perverts by most of the remainder. Homo votes do not count, neither do their opinions. It is a matter of statistical fact.

Unless you live in San Francisco, not that there is anything wrong with that. :D

Insert "Archie Bunker" for "Robin" and that quote was from All In The Family, back in the day.

Funny I don't ever recall seeing an "Obama" sticker on a union member car and never on a pick up truck from anyone. I guess most of them are still "Americans" unlike others. You mostly see them on cars of minorities, feminists and gays around here. Thank you very much.

Last year I went to a Labor day picnic with friends of ours, Chuck is in the Union and he invited us, he knew I didn't like Unions but I went anyway.

There were Obama booths raising money and selling shirts, stickers, signs etc., the Unions supported Obama in a big way as Unions almost always support the Democratic candidate.

Everyday on the way to my non union jobsite I go by the Teamsters Union hall and they had a bunch of Obama signs out in front on their property.

If it wasn't for the Union vote Barrack Hussein Obama would not be President, if You like Obama, Thank a Union member.

At the labor Day picnic that was put on by the Unions, there were a bunch of pick up trucks with Obama stickers on them, there were also a bunch of white union members with Obama shirts and some even had shirts that said "Friends don't let friends vote republican"

You are a real treat Mr. bwalley. What, no mention of being a business owner? In another post I attempted to have a civil and intelligent discusssion with you regarding this union thing. All that you could manage to do was namecall and attack union members. You remind of the kid that always got picked on and are now trying to be "bigtime". For your edification, I and alot of my fellow union brothers are conservatives. And even those that are not, generally have chosen thier political affiliation based on thier own beliefs and ideas, not because the union asked them to vote that way. BTW, for a business owner, you sure seem to have alot of time to burn on this site. Business is slow?

I am working in the office at this time, so that is why I can spend time on the internet.

My last post was an answer to a question, I was invited to a labor day picnic at the Florida State fairgrounds and spoke about what I saw there.

I have neither attacked nor called union members names, I spoke of Unions in general.

You remind me of the kid who had his lunch money stolen and now if someone says something you don't like, you whine and cry about it.

The building I am working on used to be a Union hall and was built by union labor, it sure makes me happy to tear it down and rebuild it with predominately non union workers and companies.

The only Union people on my comercial job is the elevator company, because all commercial elevator companies are union, I would have paid extra for non union, but there aren't any non union commercial elevator companies.

Gentlemen - We will not turn this thread, which is already pushing the limits, into a union/non-union battle. I'm aware that a couple of you have already gotten called down for that elsewhere on H_Talk and we're not going to start it up again.

Let it go or I'll start deleting.

Since I own the company, I don't have to actually be working with my hands to make a living, I have my guys framing a commercial job now and the electricians are there now, and I am ordering parts for an A/C unit, while I am waiting for the stair guy to show up and go over some prints.

BTW why aren't you working?

I now have to drive to the supply house and pick up a fan.

Perhaps you should be more worried about your "company" with a communist in the White House. They aren't kind to small businesses but maybe your a big contribute to the leftest socialist Democratic Party and they will protect you from being destroyed. Maybe you got one of those "disadvantage small business firms" by having a minority partner then that explains it all. You are living off the taxpayers because of your protected status. Just wondering. That is the only thing that makes sense here. Thank you very much.

I am not happy with Obama, I think he is more of a socialist than a communist and I didn't vote for him.

I am a sole proprieter and I am a white guy so I don't get any special treatment from the government.

I do not live off the taxpayers, I pay my own bills.

Oh ok I get it now. Your posts were not in support of Obama but a settle way of knocking unions by implying that the majority of them voted for Obama.

Well I don't buy that the majority of straight White male union members voted against there jobs and future by voting for Obama but you entitled to your opinion and apparently have an ax to grind so I'll leave you with it. Now I know where your coming from and going but I'm not buying it. Thank you very much.

Your position has been noted. No further union bashing or attempting to flame is acceptable.
