First off I have been reading your forum for some time I really enjoy it. This is my first post so excuse any mistakes i'm a slow typer. I work for a property management company I do the HVAC for about 800 apartments. Been trying to do some prevenative maintenance when the apartments are empty, cleaning, washing out coils, etc. when I vacuum inside electric furnaces the insulation is coming apart, has anyone tried using hair spray to seal the surface ( let dry completely first it could be flammable) or does any know of a better product. Thanks for the site keep up the good work.

I use the non flammable stuff it's cheap. No one in there right mind would use the other stuff, it's only good for tater guns.

just curious....why are you shop vaccing the insulation??
if the insulation is coming loose from the metal any parts house will have some spray adhesive you can use. you might try leaving the dusty insulation alone.....will save you a lot of head aches....cause its gonna come loose again and suck into the blower.:D:eek:
