I need a wiring diagram.

Compressor section works fine, but evap. fan never comes on, i pulled the switch and found that there was no cont. between common to either side. So i ordered a new one, and also replaced the T-stat and Def. Term. switch too.

Same thing still happening, the temp on the coil will get down to below 0 and ice up, i think the switch will close at 15deg.

Is the lower front panel on? It has a door switch in it, that needs to be plugged in.

lower front panel. the louvered one, covers the comp/coil/def timer ?
i dont recall seeing a door switch on that one, the main door has one that i held in

OK, we had a true that the customer took off the grill before we got there, the tech changed the comp and could not get the fans to run either. It was getting late and he left, then the next day the customer called and asked why the grill that we never got to see, has a switch and a wire that gets plugged in. I was just making a suggestion based on a similar problem.

Is the wiring diagram gone from the back of the time clock access cover ? Guess I'd see if the evap. fan is getting power and the motor is good. Sorry I don't have a diagram :o

door swith is one thing or bad wires
the other is I dont know where true puts the sensor I hd two units one with a coil contact another hanging near the endturns of the evaporator not sensing the return air temp. It did not work when I moved it to the return air stream so I got another and short cycling stopped.

the sensor is butted right up against the coil, and the defrost term switch is on the underside of the top of the case. the motor is good
and yes the cover is missing with the diag. on the back :(

i called their help desk they just faxed me one

the problem was the sensor, just a bad location for it, the coil temp would get to -12f but the switch would never throw, so i took it off the braket and the second i touched it to the coil it kicked the fan on.

maybe ill put on the same switch but on that will actually mount onto one of the coil bends, just a bad design i guess

i had a similar problem but my fans would come on to early ( mine was a traulsen freezer) i called tech support and found out that the coil temp sensor controlled my fine so i got into controller and switched from temp to time sensing. hopefully that helps:o

I would replace the defective/failed switch to the exact location. I haven't had to move one yet. Leaving it mounted to the top of the cabinet would ensure the evaporator housing is at temperature while if it's mounted to the coil it may prematurely cycle the fans on and off.
