I am looking for a recommendation for a T-Stat. Trying to avoid paying for more than what I need, but still making sure it solves the problem. My existing central AC sytem is controlled by a single wired T-Stat. I need to replace it w/ a unit that can do the following:
1.) Still act as a hard wired T-Stat in its existing location.
2.) Accept a signal from a wireless T-Stat that will be in another room (10-15 ft away) that will override the base unit. Because the wireless unit will be in another room, the transmission needs to be able to go through walls. Of course I want to be able to turn off the override as well.
Who usually installs T-Stats, electricians or HVAC pros?
Thanks.
