Amana Coolong Condensing Unit Fan stops spinning

I have 6 years old Amana Cooling Condensing Unit VCA42B2D (out side heat pump?) at my house. For the last few days the outside unit fan will stop spinning after 15 mins and the unit keeps making humming noise. The cool air stops flowing. The fan will run again if I leave switch the unit off for a few hours but again stop in about 15 mins. The unit system to be getting hot when not running.

What could be the reason? Can someone provide help? I am not very knowledgeable with HVAC systems so any help/suggestions will be truly appreciated. Thanks.

I can guess, but that,s the best I can do, Why? Because I,m not there!
You know your going to end up calling a tech anyways, I don,t understand why DIY,ers think HVAC is like something you can learn online, ya know I take alot of pride in what I do, it,s how I earn a living, pay my mortgage, feed my kids and pay my bills.
I find it actually insulting when people ask how to fix an HVAC issue themselves, it,s like wiring two receptacles in your basement, and thinking your an electrician.
I,m not trying to be obtuse or anything, but call a tech. There are safety issues you should be very concerned about.
At the end of the day, do you really want to get hurt for the cost of a service call?

You cannot fix this problem on the internet. Shut it down until monday then call a tech. You could loose the compressor if you continue to operate the system.
