What things have happened to you, personally, that you can attribute to the grace of God... ??

Do you believe things would be different in your life without the influence of God....??

I guess I'm confused on your second question. To me, God is always watching over us, so we are never really alone. Is that what you mean by influence?

This is an interesting topic. You started a really cool thread, sline. Wish I had thought this one up. There should be lots of diverse opinions on this one.

Have heard many people claim they were saved by the grace of God...... and I know many who seem to do fine, that doubt the existence of a God... just looking for interesting stories that someone can attribute to their belief in God...


I have done ok in this life..... probably better than I deserve...;)... but I can not say I was helped , guided or enlighted by anyone but myself...


Maybe feeling that I am on my own gives me the doubts I have about a creator...:cool: Well, lets hear it..:)

Here we go again, same old circle, feels like a prayer meeting sounds like a prayer meeting and walks like a prayer meeting. So it must be a prayer meeting.

By now most in here know who believes in what and what others opinions are, why do some of you just insist in these trolls and flamewar starting.

I assume you all have a church to go to, and do whatever praying you do in there, and you have many who are fellow believers, ist that satifying enough for you.

I have no problem discussing religions and the existance or non existance of a God, but asking what God has done for us lately, goes way beyond discussions.

There have been a few through out my life so far, but one incident is prevalent.

On June of 1998 while riding a 4 wheelers with a friend and our boys I had the misfortune of cresting a large hill on the way home that in the morning was there and by evening when coming back had been dug out with machinery. This was about a 20 foot drop and at landing was thrown from the bike and the 4 wheeler landed on my cheek and shoulders, this caused my face to break into several pieces and dislocated and broke both shoulders. Unbelievably I was conscious through out and stood back up with bleeding profusely then fell back to my knees. Now for the part that some may have a hard time believing. I truly believe in my heart that for a time there in the woods that day I died and experienced leaving my body and met the Holy Spirit with all the warmth and Love that can be imagined. I asked for mercy with all my heart and asked to be allowed to go back to my children. My wish was granted and I stood up and all bleeding had completely stopped though the pain was very prevalent and I was able to hold my cheeks and jaw some what into place and to walk out to the road were my buddy had retrieved the van and drove me to the hospital and was able to walk into admitting. Three days later the doctors had reconstructed my face with 5 plates of titanium and screws. (Hence the screen name I picked.) The doctors had stated that the was no medical reason for me to be alive and that my vital signs were completely at normal levels when I was in the emergency room and through out the surgery's. You may still be able to read an archive article in the medical journals from that time. Since then and with much time for healing and The Grace of GOD I now lead a normal life again. I have been aloud to watch my children and now grandchildren grow. I will most assuredly state that I owe each and every day I have left ALL to the grace of GOD and the Savior.
Take it for what it is worth but I will never doubt His existence.:D

Well I'm happy to see another NDE person in here. Friend, I know of what you experienced, for it also happend to me, even though I did not reach the same conclusion as you. But when something like that hapens to you, its a life changing experience, to say the least, and its very hard to explain.

I had been on the side about 2 or 3 seconds and a car pass me going very fast and in the wrong direction with no lights. That car may have hit me if I hadn't pulled over. It was in the lane I had been in. It is still very vivid in my mind and I know who it was that told me to pull over.
But for the Grace of God.

Well now, thats interesting. I, who am a non-believer, was traveling along a 6 lane rd late at night ( early morning ) when a car past me & pulled over in front of me ( safely ahead of me ). We came around a bend & I see lights in front & while I am wondering whats up, the car in front of me, hit dead on to a car that had gotten on the freeway in the wrong direction. There was no major injuries in the wreck, just cuts, bruises, & maybe a broken bone, but what am I to think...
That God spared me that day, but allowed the other car to 'take the hit'????
Maybe he didn't like them more than he didn't like me???
Of course the car in front of me was thanking God for not allowing the wreck to be worse.. but I kept thinking...Hey he could have saved you completely, but he didn't.
I'm sorry...but you religious people keep saying how god saved someone or a miracle of god saved someone...but that must mean that he let others die & suffer...what kind of a God is that???
In other words, whats so special about you that God spoke to you & yet doesn't speak to all those others that have been in wrecks, fires, floods, etc???

GOD talks many ways ,Bible,Circunstances,Church,and people around "us" >"our" problem is "we" are NOT listing..............
The Grace of GOD comes from HIM, "we" as humans cannot recieve this Grace , GOD only opens "our" eyes ,mind , heart to make ourselves aware of this GRACE ,and being very much aware of HIS presence . This is the salvation part that each one of us go throught .

Though we've heard rumors that they want to make the circle ( circle city ) a 6 lane rd around Dothan.
Good to know that someone knows where Dothan is...
We don't usually get to hear much information from elsewhere. Didn't even know that we had a new president ( ugh, sorry KING ), until last month :D
We heard the news from the guy that brings us water & sunlight.....:p
