View Full Version : AC compressor not running.

Recently my ac unit (goodman) stopped working. The fan and compressor would try to start, but only humm. I found out that the capacitor was bad. I had also changed the relay just in case. Well the fan runs fine, but the compressor still doesnt. Now the new relay is 370 vac, the old one was 280 vac could that be the problem?

You can, but, I couldn't. :eek: I'd use my capacitor checker. But, that's just me.

It is like hvac roulette. Did it discharge or not. ?
