Patch loading a program into an E2

Anyone know if its possible and if so how to patch load a partial program into an E2 with Ultrasite? For example in a controller that is in opperation copy a chuck of a program from Ultrasite and install that instead of hand loading it all into the controller. Thanks in advance.

You could try the off line program on Ultrasite on your computer make the changes and dump it in.

OK? are you say that you got a program already running and you want to load a new program you would have to do a cleanout with the two back button of the processor than reload the firmware and than export the new program. that is the only way i dont think it would let you do that i may be wrong but if you want to do all that just program it by hand E-2's are easy than just delete what is not been used ( i see that your in so.cal i know the cpc rep in that area his name is dennis if you need his number PM me and i'll give it to you

you could do the off-line but i think you still need to do a cleanout than restore

and if you have more than 1 E-2 make sure there all the same firmware also or you will have comm problems

Gator ditto X2 ya have to do a clean out and the firm ware must be the same.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't asked Dennis yet and know about firmware being the same for multiple controllers, and the cleanout when programing. What I was trying to accomplish was taking a chunk of a program like a 20 sensor controls or 15 circuits and patch that into an existing program on an opperational controller. Example-controller dies and the only backup didn't include the program for the new SVMT glycol cases. We use the same setup in all of the stores, just need to address the AIs and ROs. Is it possible to take that chunk of a program and add that on top of the other program? Can't see a way to "cut and paste" it in Ultrasite.
