Does anyone know how to work on these doors? I've got 64 doors on a freezer, a bunch of which are staying open. I've tried adjusting the torquemaster but it makes no difference. Something inside must be broken. I don't want to take a door off and then spend the next 4 hours trying to figure out how it works while my evaps are icing over. I have the manual in .pdf but it seems kind of vague.

Some people here are so stupid they just leave the doors hanging open and then the other people milling around don't even shut it! I've even had them leave doors open all night!

sounds like a broken torque rod to me. Very easy to replace on anthony doors. very time consuming on ardco doors.

You're kidding! Probably half of these doors need work. I'll get the numbers and call them. Thanks!

There is a learning curve on Anthony doors. The people at Anthony is also challenging. Check the Manufacturing Date in the glass, to help with what series you are working on, if they are old.

That was very diplomatic. Gold Star.

Those people make me want to jump through the phone, tear off their heads and defecate in the opening.:beat:

When you remove the door - tape something over the opening. If you are going to work a lot of them - make up an insert to fit the opening.

If they have a torquemaster, then they have a torque rod which is press fit, very easy to replace. This is what is broken.

Warranty is 15 month part & labor from date of shipping, 12 month in practical terms.

Only the Series 101 doors are reversible - you will see holes in the frames for relocating the torque rod positions.

Anthony tech support people are good but probably overworked - Richard Maynard or Susan Hooker. Parts personnel can be week, as they have turnover.

Sometimes you get what you give when dealing with people.

Try to get the Anthony order # from the frame sticker before you call for parts - it makes it a lot easier for them and you.

I put a plastic trap in the door opening like a 6x8,
I keep 4 on the truck that way if I'm replacing the mullion heaters in a 3 or 4 door line up I can block the section off.
