Why are you needing to put on your gauges for, I ask because if it's to repair the unit you may be better off using a bullet piercing but you will need to weld it up after your done. Is there a Lp safety with packed angle valve you can tee off. Realy hard to help when you can't see it, I would be pretty confiedent that there would be somewhere you could atatch.

Seems like you need to relax walk away have a coffee, and come back with a clear head and approach it like a pro. Think about the basics, don't panic it's only work:D

you have a receiver, pump it down...add a low side port.

There might be a port at the evaporator outlet.

Dont feel bad, we have all been there in one way or another. Sometimes the best thing to do is to walk away from the unit and not think about it for a few mins. Come back with a clear head and look at the problem from a different angle. If you get down on yourself, you are going to have a much harder time. No one is born knowing this stuff. Its a combination of training and experience. The more you do both, the better you will be.

So just walk away from your problems and go drinking?
You may have some issues that need to be addressed.

It's a modified Copland chiller package a Frankenstein i call it. I have 4 i have to do and this is the only one were i cant back seed my service valve which is really annoying.I figured out later after i hooked up my gauges my low side was like 120 and my high side was sitting around 400.All my boss wanted to know was how much of a charge was in it but it seems like there are bigger problems.
