Has anyone had any experiences with FW Harris HVAC in Northern Virginia?
I'm looking to replace the HVAC system that is original to the house (1981), and I've been given a few estimates (Harris, Cropp, Vernon, Sears). Three of the estimates pretty much lined up with what I was expecting based on conversations with people in the neighborhood (Vernon was the most expensive, Sears was the least expensive, and Cropp was in the middle), but the Harris estimate for the same equipment Cropp used in its estimate was around 19% less expensive. FWIW, Harris and Cropp have similar BBB ratings, but Harris only has 1 listed issue (not much of a sample size).
It appears that FW Harris is related to FW Harris, Inc. plumbing, which does have a long history and good BBB rating, but they are clearly operated as separate companies, so you can't put too much weight in those ratings.
Any experiences/insight re: FW Harris would be appreciated.
Thanks
