I have having some problems locating some information on a Trane indoor unit with the model number of TWV048B140A0. What I really need is the wattage of the heating coils inside this unit. I need to find a specification sheet with this information soon. I have searched out the internet to no avail, nor was I able to find anything on Trane's website. I have contacted Trane but have not heard back from them yet. If anyone can point me in the right direction that would be so greatly appreciated.

The number you've given is the air handler model number. It will not tell us the size of the heatstrips you have. I can tell you its a 4 ton air handler. If you look at the door cover their is a silver and black tag with lots of numbers on it. One should be marked, that will be your heat strip size. If not marked I recommend you call your local hvac company and have someone come look at it for you. I dont recommend you open it up, that could be dangerous and you wouldnt know what to look for anyway. Sometimes you can tell by the breaker sizes on the unit front 60 & 60 or a 60 & 30. Not the most reliable way though.

I had a feeling that number wasn't going to tell us anything. I did check the name plate and the only relevant information it had was that the fan motor was 4.2 amps. It did have this larger plate with a bunch of model numbers with kilowatt ratings of the heat strips, but it never said which one was inside this particular unit. I probably should have load tested it from the beginning so I think that is what I am going to do. If you have anymore ideas please let me know!

Thanks,
Ryan
