Hi Everyone,

Noob question here. I'm a home owner that just had central AC put in yesterday. The furnace which is blowing the cool air seems to be blowing not as strong as when the furnace is blowing heat.

Is this correct? Or should it be stronger when cooling?

Yes.....No..... :D

Most times the cooling blower speed is higher than the heating blower speed....

I would call your installer back and have them come out a double check their settings....

A good installer would measure duct pressure and set the blower speed to around 400 CFM per ton of cooling. Most don't and leave it on high where it comes from the factory. It is not unusual to find, especially in a northern climate, that cooling should be lower than heating.
