I like looking at motorcycles, I like hearing motorcycles, heck, some of 'em even smell pretty good. But, I'm also fond of walking and functioning--never ridden one and pretty sure I never will. I think the idea is good though and I actually do personally know a couple of people on the trek.

I have 2 friends that make the run every year. One a Marine and the other 101st. Both Viet Nam vets. Whenever any solders come home the guy from the 101st will be there welcoming them home. I told him I've seen him on the news more than the Newscasters.
The crew went through town last week to pick up riders and be on their way.

Friend e-mailed me (after I posted this same story on facebook) that he was in Wentzville for the passing through. He goes every year. A local Navy Vet. had planned on joining the ride in either Columbia or Wentzville. I haven't been able to contact him so I'm guessing he's riding! Another that planned to go couldn't get the time off work. He's a bit bummed about that.
