Have to replace 2 ton heat pump unit:

Option 1: Lennox XP15; CBX32MV; HC16 filter; C/S7000 control

Option 2: Heil H4H4; FVM4x24; h'well controller (? model #);

which one would you go with? assume about one k different in price?

Try and put price aside and go with contractor who gave you those most information and one you think you can trust. Names fall second and they will do simmilar job.

Yes to the above, and I would much rather have the Lennox setup if it were me. The XP15 with the Signature variable speed indoor unit is a very nice system--quiet too.

would you stick with the Lennox C/S 7000 or go to the Honeywell IAQ?

Tough call. I think the ComfortSense 7000 would have pretty much the same features, even dehumidification. The ComfortSense 7000 also probably has more abilities when it comes to "fault codes" with the XP15. The IAQ is a very nice thermostat though so either one would be fine by me.

I would go with the Honeywell IAQ. I think it is easier to navigate.

If this is a 2-ton system as I gather from one of the model numbers of the Heil system, you will qualify for the federal tax credit--30% of installed price up to $1500. So would the Heil.

Go Heil, i would. Reliable and a fantastic warranty. 10 year parts inside and out. 7 year no hassle outside and 10 year no hassle inside. no hassle means if a component such as the compressor or indoor coil fails, they will provide you with a new unit.
