Is that a power company load shed device on the upper left corner?

Must be a Trane

Look like it died and some one is trying to resurect it. Still got all the dirt on it from being in the ground so long.

OR maybe this is how trane is producing their new lines. Growing them cuts down on manufacturing cost.

Did this poor thing crawl out of the river?

I'm sure they claim it ran just fine till the other day and that somehow it's the last service co. fault that it broke down.

on a service call, no heat. gas valve was bad, trane system downflow furnace across the street from projects. thought i would help her out (single mom) and check the ac while i was there. 12 years no service...now no heat/no cool...she declined any repair! no, no bats flew out, but the tied up dogs kept lunging at me, she did not care...sat in cat piss when working on the furnace. i love my job!!

Your lucky, even if she let you clean it the compressor is probably either sick, dying, or doa. Imagine trying to tell the customer more bad news after cleaning?

You've got to find some way to preserve that mess... that'd sell for big bucks at an art auction. I thought it was a piece of abstract art at first & was looking through the thread for the clogged coil.

honest to God I thought that coil was a picture of hieroglyphics...LOL... I absolutely swear it took 5 takes for me to realize it was a unit..and which unit. It certainly has
an Egyptian flavor to it. I even called my wife in here to see the "art" of our website... I am SO embarassed.

I thought the same thing. Like where's the tubing. Looked more like a satelite photo of the desert.

That should be on e-bay !

I saw the pic and thought, what does this have to do with A/C? I thought it was a wood carving.

I've seen that art at the Frist center in Nashville Tennessee, last summer. It's from Vincent Van DOOOHHH!!

do you have any pictures of what it looked like after you were done? or did you just condemn it?

I found three older Trane condensers, not as bad as the pic. but clogged solid. One had already killed off the condenser motor. So the owner sold them a new condenser, I sold them a gold contract so the units would be cleaned 4 times a year. The customer no doubt was good at his work though. Among other cars was a new Ferrari in the garage.
