When I opened the water tank of my honeywell truesteam, the gasket stuck to the tank and came off the upper portion of the tank where it is seated.
Do you push the sponge tank gasket up into the black groove? The reason I ask, the gasket has a groove in it as well, which leads me to believe it should be pushed onto a single ridge. However, the groove on the gasket itself is not that deep. If I attempt to use the gasket like the bun and the black ridge like a hot dog (Food analogy) the gasket wont stay in place and falls down. This then leads me to believe that the gasket goes between the black ridge and the side of the black upper tank (The groove). The reason why I question this, is because I feel as if the gasket goes up too far to make a tight seal.
Any suggestions as to how this gasket fits on the unit?
