Blower cap?

Old luxaire air handler blower motor has a 5 mfd cap that keeps becoming defective. The cap goes defective after about an hour. The voltage is 208 and the amp draw on the fan motor was 0.4 with the motor rated at 1.9 amps. I want to say the capacitor is becoming defective due to the fan motor, or is there something else that I'm not seeing?
