Imported a PDF to Visio 2007 to draw a controls diagram, after adding some symbols and lines it seems the entire pdf moves and isn't locked, I have tried to lock the the PDF and create a new layer above to draw as I think that is what needs to be done?
Any advice as I a missing something and used to do this in Visio 2002 and can't find the solution on 2007.
Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Right click on the file and goto Properties, and make sure read only is not checked..

Have you right clicked on the PDF and put it on the locked layer?

No I haven't tried that, not sure on how? Any advice would be great. I was able to to keep the PDF locked by the protection feature.

Not sure if 2007 is different with the right click options but in 2003....
right-click=>Format=>Layer and you will see what layer the PDF is on. Move it to a layer that is locked and it will not move or be selectable.

Thanks, that works too, on Visio 2007 you can do it from the top menu by clicking Format then Protection. I tried it with your method and it pops up the same menu and locks it as well.
Thanks again for your assistance
