Hi all
i have a building with 21 ols Tirane Voyager Rut's that are comm3 I am trying to convert the building to Lon so I can install a Jace.
Can I reuse the bus?
I am sure it isn't optimal but recabling would be very difficult due to the ceiling heights.
Thanks in advance
Kevin

I agree also, you are asking for a huge headache.

If you do end up doing it, consider some routers to filter out bad messages.

I have done it on really small buildings and had no problems as long as the terminators were installed properly.

If you do decide to take the risk make sure you keep the same wire thru out the bus most likely 18 gauge trane purple wire and use i think they are 82.5 ohm terminaters make sure your ohm readings on the bus are in the mid 50's.
Good luck

I would at a minimum add a clause in your proposal to CYA should you "need" to re-run the bus and add in a little extra right off the bat to cover some extra time and perhaps like Amigo said a router :D

Thanks for all or your feedback.
I think I will just quote it wit a new network as an option.
Thanks again
