I have tracked the leak in my 10-11 year old "Tappan" to 1 of the 6 cap tubes feeding the A coil. Bubbles up pretty good - and squeals the leak checker like a pig. The A coil will slide out, and be pretty easy to swap out if I can get the right unit. I think it is 3 ton, maybe 3.5?
The model no is B2BM036K-B. We may be able to solder the leak, but it is the closest tube to the "bottom", which puts it close to the pan. I do MVAC work and will have a friend who is a residential tech help me.
Can anyone identify the A-coil manufacturer and verify the capacity? What coil replacement would you recommend? Measures about 18x18x18.5 deep. It is 0.075 orifice, not a TXV. There is only a single 20x25" filter and I think it is starved on the return side.
Thanks, Bill
