hi all, i'm new here. thought i try the internet for controls help :).
i've been having the darn'dest time trying to get 2 VLC modules to show up in Device scan in Envision 2.5. I'm plugged in through a BCM-ETH and that is set up the way i've always done it before (i hope). and am just not getting anywhere.
Just loaded Envision 2.5 clean install after uninstalling 2.01. also have a BCM-WEB in the mix. but the device scan is not picking up the VLCs. don't know what it could be. any and all comments would be appreciated!

You're going to want to check all your network numbers and make sure everything jives.
Are you seeing any other devices on the system?

There are plenty of things it could be. Make sure the VLCs are properly grounded. Of course check polarity, EOL resistors...

You must not be an authorized dealer as you'd probably posting this question on the alerton dealer support site?
Is the trunk up and talking or is nothing talking, Have you been able to renumber the vlc's.
Basic bacnet over ethenet or IP. When connecting to the BCM ETH are you using a switch or a cross over cable directly to the controller.
When you do a scan can you see the BCM at all.
I forgot to ask are you using the Tech or the customes key. I think they have new keys for 2.5 version, at least for the customer key.

Did you install your hardlock driver, it is a seperate process from the software install. You would do that in the network setting of the computer. If the 2.01 software worked, then I would guess you have missed a step.. Feed us somemore info. Are you picking up the BCM-ETH, you have to save it to the table before you can see past it. Also you have to update the ROC file in the BCM, that wont keep you from communicating, but must be done.
Did you fill out a PC config. sheet for your General System setup, are you Annex J, are you on your own network or does this system live on a enterprise network.. More info please!!!!!!

Also 2.5 creates its own folder under the program file directory, so you have to move your DB.
