I have narrowed down my system to the following but would like your recommendations for the best overall airhandler for this system. I am more concerned with heat output in the winter more than cooling in the summer.

The two air handlers in question are the 4TEE3F39A1 or the 4TEE3F40B1 which would be the best fit for the following system? (it will need to qualif for the tax credit)

4TWX5030A1000A XL15i Heat Pump
BAYHTR1415BRKC 15kw Backup Heat
YTH9421C1002 Honeywell VisionPro IAQ Tstat
Trane Clean Effects system

The IAQ question I have is that I am getting the Clean Effects air cleaner and wanted to know if there is any benefit having the IAQ with this system? Example: The IAQ will give me real time filter conditions, will provide me information for optimal efficiency, or just when it needs cleaned.

One other question am I able to clean this air cleaner or will the service provider have to do it, meaning can it be cleaned with normal tools and materials I can purchase?

Thanks for all the help on this heat pump replacement over the last month, I respect the help you have provided and it makes me more confident in the final purchase.

Thanks a million!!! Jeff

Either air handler would be fine and get the tax credit.

The IAQ will not tell filter conditions. With outdoor sensor you can have more control over locking out compressor or strips. You can stage the backup. You can use the dehumidify feature to slow the blower in times of high humidity.
