no. it tripped the flam shooter robertshaw stator stat twice. once after running for 10 hrs., then 2 minutes after reset and restart. ohmed out the sensors, ok. megged the motor, ok. mashed the start button with a long stick and let it spin for 30 min. shut down and checked the sensors. all seems okie dokey. ordered a new stator stat. restarted last nite and it's still spinning.

i am not always quick to blame stuff on the controls co!
actually just the opposite i always think i can fix anything!

recently I had a 18 stage split that was freezing up
ofcourse defrosted the entire thing
staged it up ran it under a load, checked the vfd and supply fan, checked the charge on each compressor loaded and unloaded
checked compressor and evaporator superheat, checked outside air dampers, pneumatics,filters, blah blah blah!

it is automated logic.

nobody from alc has been to this building in 5 years
i personally installed the 400 tons of condensers piping exvs and new evaporators and vfd 3 years ago and changed around the staging to suit new system just by swapping some wires on some relays 3 years ago.

the thing ran great no problems and my superheat between loaded and unloaded was between 9 and 25 degrees at different loads .

i opened the fan room door for a while and left it open for a couple minutes while checking evaporator superheat accidentally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i looked outside at the alc control panel and BAM!! all 18 lights lit up at the same time!!!!!

i closed the door and watched the alc panel,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,also watching the discharge air temp!!

60-55-47-39----------- still 18 stages!!!!!!!!!!!!
and BAm 17 stages---------------- 5 minutes later 16 stages


well you get it

staging up 18 stages in 1 second and staging down 1 stage at a time evry 5 minutes

with my vast knowledge of ddc controls and expertise!!!!!!!!!1 LOL

went to LOGIC

went to the GRAPHIC FUNCTION BLOCKS and found;
zero time delay stage up

the building engineer/aka/ idiot maintenance guy MUST have gone in there and changed the settings!

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who
has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was,
since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.

He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;
- Why the early bird gets the worm;
- Life isn't always fair;
- and maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend
more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are
in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy
charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended
from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for
reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the
job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly
children. It declined even further when schools were required to get
parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student;
but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to
have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses;
and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense
took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own
home and the burglar could sue you for assault.

Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to
realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in

Hey Gruppys. Guess I'm now one step closer to being a Gruppy. I passed my Provincial Exam with 82%. I also passed electrical with a 76% overall. I finished the last course today (the online one) and now I just have to rock the practicum.

Spoke with my boss yesterday. Apparently one of my first jobs is going to be cleaning condensers at a tanning salon. :D I think I'm going to enjoy this job!

We have only done a couple of 11/123 set ups and done a few 'top secret' ones for the US Military. I am trying to get your unit out but am falling behind badly as I am working too long of hours and now Eric, my head tech (and surrogate son) just pulled the plug to go work in Sweden.....
It's devastating as I poured 3 years into him and had BIG plans for him but a slick talker has him buying a line of crap I fear....... I need a 3 yr or better Cdn Reefer Apprentice with GHP experience with a tremendous work ethic....

I'll let you know when I got the 900 lit up for yah.... ;)

BUT the mechanic will die NATURALLY...right?

Well, I started doing radio in college, and when I was doing mechanical work in the daytime, I did radio at night and on weekends. About 19 years worth of radio and TV stuff.

I do that kind of stuff about once a month now. It's more fun to go in and get a spot done in an hour than to spend four hours playing audio files that a computer chooses for me.

For some reason, Frank is having trouble watching the video. I think its a flash player issue.
