Does anyone know if the main control board on this unit (older contol board with red, green, yellow l.e.d's and no user interface) will communicate
with carriers system pilot handheld tool # ip 33 pilot-01.
Thanks

1) Red watchdog LED on board should be blinking approx. once every 2 seconds.
2) Check your system pilot's com and connection against a Carrier system you know you can talk to.
3)Back on 48ej - Try all baud rates on system pilot.
4)Try changing com bus polarity.
good luck, (like one factory support guy whos mfg won't be named, "This will either work, or it won't..." that was a big help.)

Thanks guys,i was able to connect i was using the same 24v. source to power the board and the pilot (observing polarity) and for some reason when i reverse the polarity on the rtu board (bench test) it worked fine go figure.

You are very lucky that the half wave power supply on them did not fry one or both com chips. With the newer Carrier Controls, be sure to use seperate transformers or you'll have device failures.
