If anybody is like me and is into control diagrams, then you probably want your diagrams to look a certain way. I am currently looking into drawing in Visio, and even though they have thousands of useful shapes, a lot of them just wont work for me.

Is there anyone out there that knows how to create smart shapes in Visio. I keep finding myself trying to draw in Visio like I draw AuotCAD.

Thanks

Are you aware of the grouping function?

Yes I am aware of the grouping function, but I am trying to master the shapesheet formulas. What I want to do is to have a shape where you can toggle the geometry based on the properties that you specify. I also want users to have the ability to control what is displayed on the shape with string properties. I guess the big challange is since visio does a lot automatically, how can I use that to my advantage because it is hard to navigate throught the shapesheet formula when you group objects together because every object that you group is on a separate shapesheet. To control the behavior of the shapes, I need to reference the formulas from one sheet onto another, and I am just looking for a shortcut.
