Anybody have any experience working with either of these companies?
Gridlogix - http://www.gridlogix.com
Hosted Controls - http://cyruspowered.cyrustechnologies.com/HostedControls/tabid/229/Default.aspx
What are your opinions on either product/service?

Gridlogix is owned by JCI now.
Recently a customer told me Cyrus wasn't fully ready... however that was a few months ago already.
Apparently they got a couple projects listed on their website, but I'll bet those where strictly company issued. Much different ball game when you are selling to contractors without all that internal support. I'd say those are "training and R&D projects" for their company. Get a listing of 20 or more installations from them.
I'd anticipate they use something like ilon's to fetch/write data to networks.
I'm not knocking them, only they seem like the layer on top. The site still needs all the nuts and bolts. There is very little information on the Cyrus site telling you how they integrate (what hardware)

Check out the integration project for UNC-Chapel Hill. Both were involved successfully in bringing 9 different vendors into a graphical server. Interface boxes were needed for some older vendors. JCI and TAC had software XML/Soap servers in each building that they had controls in. Others needed the interface boxes thaa Gridlogix provided. Cyrus provided the graphical server and software. Total point count when the job was bid was around 32,000 points.
Also, neither is an ESCO.

It sure seems that UNC project is very nice. Do you have more in depth information on this project?
Do you have 10-20 other projects that they did... or better yet that somebody representing their product line have done?
I'd like to get a better idea what they can all do.

I know that all the municipal buildings in the state of Missouri were integrated by Gridlogix. We proposed using Gridlogix to a couple of Universities in the state, but have not moved forward. Nice product.

I don't get any bad feedback about Gridlogix. Maybe that's why JCI scooped them up. Cyrus on the other hand I've gotten multiple people tell me it's not ready for contractors. So, I wonder if this UNC project is strictly a manufacturer installed site. If so, I'd like some independents opinions on the product.
