Hello Everyone, Does anyone know where I could purchase the battery for an old DSC-8500. I'm not sure what the part number is.

Thanks

There is a 10 year battery mounted on circuit boards that keep the memories from losing data, even with a power failure. Computer motherboards have them too.
It looks like a coin, and there was one visible on the board made by the company who now manufacturers these controllers.

There is no such battery for the DSC-8500. The battery that is used for this controller is about 8 " long 3" high and 3" wide and this battery is used to keep its program during power outages.

That is one large keep-alive battery.

If you know the technology-
lead acid, lithium, silver oxide, nicad, nickel-metal-hydride,
and the voltage, it should be easy to find an electrical, and maybe even mechanical, equivalent.

If it's lead acid, with that volume it might be 12 amp-hour capacity.

I need to go out to the job site and look at the battery again and see what info I can get off of the battery.
