Restore the user activity log in Envision BACtalk

I am hoping to restore the user activity log (operator log) it is either password protected or can I simply copy the oringinal file back to the root location it reads from ?

Why do you have to do this?
Any User/Audit Log manipulation should be looked at closely as to what is going on, (being covered up?) and why.

I cleared the log, instead of exporting the log for saving for future reference.

I am hoping to ensure the system maintains the speed of accessing the information, from the various log files (ie. alarming, trending, reports, user activity, after years of use I hoping manage the files on a backup or export schedule.

Any application backups being done?
Or PC backups? I use Norton Ghost to backup my laptop weekly to an external hard drive.
