Whats the point. If the gauges don't do anything more than tell the pressure and saturation point, why not just use regular gauges. If they had an thermometer or a micron gauge or gave sub-cooling and super heat, I could see the point. But if they do the exact same thing as the gauges I already have, then why? They look like I would break them in about a month anyway.

Think YJ should reconsider this move and push their version of the DigiCool.

Can't get them wet, you need a screw driver to switch refrigerants but the best part is they are a bourbon tube just like what is in an analog gauge. Yup I know I will be running out to get a set.

They were offered them all first(as I promised them).....then got angry when we went to market when they didn't order them(they had no exclusive and agreed they didn't)????:confused::confused: Sure glad we manufacture this quality here in North America and get supported in North America....like pissing yourself in a dark suit..makes you feel warm but nobody notices....I realize we compete on price too but WTF....I still think we give the best value...problem is they don't break for 5-6 years so repeat sales are a long ways away....
Doug, sorry to hear YJ and you had a falling out. Looks like the went from the top of the line and switch to some Junk.
Solar power gauges , no night work, no mech rm work. hope they charge in the back window of the truck. Designed by someone who never work in field.
The problem is they is that it gives Digital a bad name.
Doug kept doing want your doing I hope to get the upgrade kit this year and hoping for a 1250 as well.

Would be nice to see some Digi-Cools and accessories on the shelf :)
Wow that is illuminating-"they don't break so repeat sales are 5-6 years" Does YJ make most of their own stuff or outsource like they did with you?
YJ-you are making a mistake, swallow your pride and go with the best. There is nothing cool, tough or ingenius about solar powered gauges. JB and digimon are doing a better job then that! HA! fu@# pride, business is business and you are wasting a advertising $$ selling a joke.

They are not a manufacturer, they are trading company, which normally chooses better products to sell under their brand label.
I believe YJ did not move enough of the Digi-Cool digital gauges. Tech's willing to shell out that much money probably bought in general the original, the Digi-Cool.
YJ distribution system is through local distributors and they have to appeal to the masses. Only some of their prodcuts are high end, many are only high end in price. I am not surprised with their move to this cheap digital gauges.
So long I can buy the Digi-Cool through trutechtools.com, I am happy. An online store is the way to go with high quality products. I should be able to get better and cheaper service from an online store than from a local distributor where they know less about the product than the buyer.
Online stores can reach brand status by themself. I bought many tools from the online company that merged into amazon and I still buy most of my computer parts from newegg.com, online companies with good pricing and service.

Tostaos,
You are the intelligent majority that is realizing that the J-Marts have really nothing in value to add to the business transaction other than stocking the most profitable product for them. The old farts like me with the blown out knees and backs that would have gone behind the counters to help and advise the techs of today are still being kept in the field so we have minimum wage 20 somethings with no training. Thus the wholesalers are becoming nothing more than 'order takers' and 'drop shippers'. Despite your track record, reputation, backup, phone support, value, web site support, progressive path of your product if your not in with the 'boys' your not stocked. I even had one wholesale chain tell me that 'yah you really gave 'you know who' a helluva reputation for digital manifolds but it's a lot of work to put the SKU into our system for just 8-10 items so we'll carry 'you know who' unless if 'blows up'. That's after we showed them the profit they would make and the warranty that we would carry. His reply was warranty is really not an issue because in the three or four years they carried our 'brand labeled product, he was not aware of ONE warranty situation.
Yahoo for the Chinese product whilst Brenda and I build our product in Vancouver, B.C. Canada North America...gives you a warm feeling but I guess we reap what we sow. The NA companies will die and go bankrupt with $hit hot product rotting on the shelf while the big corporations do the 'most profitable' method of business.....what is the definition of 'most profitable anyway'?????.....
Anyway guys were still working 16 hours a day here 7 days a week to keep the HVAC/R company running and supporting the next build/R&D project for DC and we do appreciate those who have supported us.....it does not go unnoticed guys.....so many many thanx...;)

NOPE....not at this point....they'll wait and see what else comes out. It'll be interesting how many Patent Infringment lawyers come out of the wood work when You Know Who comes out with their product.:o

Hey Doug is there anywhere in the Hamilton, Ontario area that carries your line of product. I know they are built in Canada and shipped to the States. I just don't want to have to pay the exchange rate and duties and shipping to get my hands on a set.

Sir/Ms:
Am very disappointed that you are discontinuing sale of your version of the Digi-Cool refrigerant service analyzer. In my opinion this is probably one of the best constructed digital refrigerant service analyzers on the market. Was very much looking forward that you would also be offering their new manifold, which look like no longer will be the case.
Have purchased other digital refrigerant gauges. The TIF version back in 1992 very disappointed. Testo 523 1st generation, which a vast improvement over TIFs venture. Then purchased your DSRA last spring. Which as I have already stated is one of the best. Last fall purchased Robinaire's digitals for use as stubby gauges and am disappointed with this made in China product. I do not think that with my experience with this last purchase that I would ever purchase another made in China product.
Don't know why you have discontinued this fine product but I had to ask wholesalers to purchase mine. Which leads me to believe that sales for this area was not as familiar with the capabilities of the DSRA as us service technicians are and did not know how to actively market it.
Hope you reconsider and reintroduce the DSRA to your product line.
Thank you,
Gary Reecher, CM

Is ACR out of North Carolina going to sell the dsra's. They are a great supplier to work with. (at least from a costumers standpoint.)
