right suction line slope

Hi all, Why heatcraft recomends 1/4 inch per 10 feet slope for horizontal suction lines toward the compressor (H-IM-64G), and tyler recomends 1/2 inch per 10 feet slope (tyler installation and service manual), if they are the same conditions why the diference? :confused:

Sounds like a question for the engineers at Tyler and Heatcraft to me.
