in only two days he wants exceptions to his own rules?

and NObama wants to make "the Clinton Assault Weapons ban" PERMANENT

From "The White House dot Gov" Urban policy

Address Gun Violence in Cities: Obama and Biden would repeal the Tiahrt Amendment, which restricts the ability of local law enforcement to access important gun trace information, and give police officers across the nation the tools they need to solve gun crimes and fight the illegal arms trade. Obama and Biden also favor commonsense measures that respect the Second Amendment rights of gun owners, while keeping guns away from children and from criminals. They support closing the gun show loophole and making guns in this country childproof. They also support making the expired federal Assault Weapons Ban permanent.

In a 14 year period, between 1980 and 1994, only 2% of confiscated weapons, by police were classified as "Assault Weapons"
Gary Kleck, “Targeting Guns”, 1997, compilation of 48 metropolitan police departments from 1980-1994

as usual, the government is going after Legal Law Abiding citizens and completely ignoring the real problem........criminals and gangs:mad:

This has always been an interesting debate.
I have a CCP, am an avid gun collector, and own all types of long rifles, shotguns and handguns.
Among my entire gun collection, there is not a single "assault weapon" to be found, yet I dare anyone to break into my home.
I don't believe assault weapons should be available for legal sale to the GP.
But, that noted, they will still find their way into the hands of this supposed 2% of the criminal element.
It's not an easy problem to solve, but it's an easy problem to address with half-assed "solutions".
