A link shows how cash-strapped states may (http://www.desmoinesregister.com/article/20090116/NEWS10/901160372/1001/) push the gaming of the poor into the private-sector. Now they can oversee the tax on stupidity rather than administer it outright. Guess they'll claim plausible deniability to the drain itself on po' folks money should anyone ever actually call the state lottery on the carpet.

I thought Dems were here to protect the poor from the "greedy private sector."
Guess that's only when it suits the victim-mentality of the Democrats.

Iowa is "cash strapped"??

I thought with so many illegals running around "contributing" to Iowa's economy, there would be plenty of money in the state coffers.:p

I suppose it is a rip off, like it is happening in other states, irregardless to whatever political party is in fashion at the moment.

Americans are about the stupidest people on Earth, next to Europeans, of course.:D
