Hey I am wondering if anyone knows of a good business software program that has the capabilities of connecting pda's for invoice purposes? I used to know someone at a company that used pda's for all of their invoicing and dispatching. It relieved a lot of paperwork. I am looking for something like that for the company I work for. Any suggestions or links would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I am not sure if what we have will fit your application but thought I should respond. We have a System Data Software that may be of interest to you. We are able to generate an invoice as well as systems data log of the systems current operating conditions. Examples of fields would be: Invoice number, Customer name and address, Phone number, Equipment type, Location, Model and serial numbers, Age, Diagnostic, Repairs completed or incompleted, Parts used or needed, Payment type, and other data you may wish to include. This data is entered into the PDA and a text document can then be created and saved onto your memory card or downloaded to a computer or emailed to the office or customer if the PDA has email capability. The software also is able to automatically generate recommendations into the text document when a negative is entered into the form. An example of this is if you enter that the contactor is in poor condition the text document will include a recommendation of: Recommendations: Replace compressor contactor and other recommendations depending on the data inputted. The software is also able to search by customer name, or phone number or invoice number. Those clients that have been saved in the software can then be pulled up so the technician can view the previous information or the office can email you the last text document completed for that client. This software has many benefits and was specifically designed for the HVAC/R field. Lots of dropdowns aid in the input of information, Not all fields are required so you can use it for as little information or as much information as you would like.
