I have countless amounts of AA flashlights. Im lookin for a good C or D cell flashlight that will be bright and good for long distances. Ive been lookin at streamlights but they all last only about an hour. I wonder how the maglite c cell led lights are. Any reccomendations?:D

I have a streamlight task something....2 D battery flashlight... its metal...got some leds and you can chose to use I think... 5 leds on low or 10 leds on high and it also has a xenon bulb....but the xenon bulb is not bright in my opinion. Ive never had occasion to use it on high led.

Anyhow...Its a good flashlight...batteries last a long time and its bright enough to investigate by or work by....good for looking around in the dark.

I dont use the regular bulb feature as it is just to weak.. If I need a bright light I have a pellican 3 c cell flashlight...one of those good hazardous location flashlights. It eats batteries but its a good bright light.

You should have two flashlights anyway... really need two of everything

Hey..Ive been using my old wavetek for the last couple of weeks...works pretty good for a non fluke non fieldpiece piece of sh*t....lol

I like using something other folks dont use....keeps you apart from the herd...lol

I took it out of the black holster so its smaller.... need to find a way to attach a strap and a magnet to it....or some sort of caribiner though... or I might end up sticking it back in the holster.

Two streamlights, and a charger in the van. Wired in. The Poly stingers fit in your pocket, they're bright and the plastic gives them a little grip so they stay in your pocket, metal ones slide out and fall all the time. I have both. I'd trade the metal for a poly.

Lol, i took mine out of the van today and cleaned it up and changed the battery in it. I love that meter, my dad gave it to me so it holds some sentimental value. Ill be trading in my UEI DL389 for a fluke 902 so i will need something for the higher ohm ranges, so it will get some use now. If it had a backlight and capacitence it would never leave my bag lol. Its an all around good meter to me, considering no one besides us has ever heard of them lol.

Just for S#$%^ and giggles i went to home depot to look at the maglites. I purchased a 2D cell led maglite, and i must say it is a great light. Bright as hell at long range and close up. For the price (30 bucks) i couldnt help myself lol. Once again maglite has come through.

Looks like I'm a little late but this one looks pretty good and with a battery life off s 390 hours u could leave it one for a couple of weeks.

I like the LED's on battery usage , but I don't like the blue color tint. I know I'm getting old LOL. It just seams to make reading some tags more difficult like a black light effect.I just retired 15 year old MAG 3 d cell sent it back in the third year for a switch never had another problem. Have a nice blue one now.

hmmm .... someone just gave me a small LED flashlight that is is 3" long 1" round .... maybe 1 1/4 on the bulb end. It has 21 LED's

Its pretty bright but the big drawback is that it uses 3 AAA batteries.

Now if it was AA batteries that would be fine being I carry a lot of things that use them

AAA batteries will be a pain being I don't think I have a thing with those in them

Funny this flashlight doesn't have a name stamped on it anywhere .... it is dam bright tho.

I just bought the two D cell led and it is very bright. Im gonna leave that one in my car and buy a three D cell for the truck. Lowes had the three cell for the same price as the two from depot, will be goin there in a couple days to pick one up. Imo the maglite is very bright and has a good focused beam far away, compared it to my old two D cell maglite with the krypton bulb and it was no comparison. Does anyone know of any stores that carry the maglite clips??

I picked up a Husky that uses D batteries a couple weeks ago at HD and it is very bright on high beam. It has 3 levels of light I think and seems to be a good light for the price, about $20. I have several D cell maglites around the house that I have had for a long, long time and they have held up well too.

I picked up a rayovac 3watt single LED 2 - AA and wow... I never thought of rayovac as making a usable product. Granted I've only been using it for about 2 months now but my old Mag is long gone.

Got it for $15. Bought it on impulse and haven't been sorry.

The plastic streamlights with leds, some have high intensity bulbs. I have a streamlight stinger and an ultra stinger, you cannot point them directly at a wiring diagram, they are too bright. I do like the rechargeables though.

Last night i ordered this one,

Should be a really nice flashlight, did a lot of reaserch and decided on this. Ill post some pics next week. Streamlight is nice but i like this led because of the throw it has(beam distance).

I like the plastic flashlights. The first time you drop it in a control panel, you are glad it's plastic. Dropped my stinger once, had a split second of blind panic until it did not hit any hot terminals.
