Anybody ever been in a major tournament and where? Just curious thinking about it.:D

I like online poker I find that I'm harder to read that way. Plus if I can't smoke I'm out.

I used to play. But the last time I played, there were 6 of us playing 5 card draw. I had drawn to a boat. A BOAT with 5 players! A guy bumped the pot.

What would you have done? Durn straight. I called and bumped. He bumped the last time. I borrowed money from a friend to call. The guy laid down 3 of a kind. THREE OF A KIND FIRING AT A BOAT WITH 6 PLAYERS! I smiled and showed him my full house. Just like in the freakin' movies, I reached to drag the pot. He said, "Wait!" and laid down the FOURTH for FOUR OF A KIND!

FOUR OF A KIND BEATING A BOAT IN A HAND WITH SIX FREAKIN" PLAYERS!

That was in late 1974 and I've never played for money since. And never will. It is apparently not my game.

Ya gotta be able to live with loosing the money ya put on the table.

We have a poker player in our neighborhood that goes on the tours & such every year. He's won a few major tournaments, and he got his law degree between games. He's waaay rich, he used to be one of the MIT 21-players, and he gives thousands and more each year to charities. He doesn't consider it worth the time unless the stakes are high, and I'm much too scared, as I couldn't live with loosing that much, even if he did just donate it to the 'keep MarauderX from being bankrupt' fund.
