Well? No, it just removes the water and prolongs the sinking. Now, plugging up the leak and THEN bailing out the boat makes much more sense.
Kind of like all the people that bought way much more house than they could afford, got bailed out but still have that house they couldn't afford in the first place...sinking boat.

It won't end until the government bankrupts the entire country and the chinese buys it at bankruptcy auction for a nickel on the dollar.:eek::(

Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt can be used to extort all kinds of money from all kinds of people.
There's no reason to fix the leak if you can get no-bid contracts to fix leaks. You should even make some more leaks.
